Although Rocco’s is quite pricey and falls under the category of restaurants that you go to once in a while (or for a special treat), we’d definitely like to visit them again and try out the rest of their menu because I mean, who wouldn’t want to try out all 30 of their pizza toppings! They easily have some of the Italian dishes in town!
Hands down one of the best pizzerias in Colombo. What makes a pizza stand out is definitely the great dough and crust; Giovanni's has perfected theirs. We loved the little burnt bits in the crust that only a wood fired oven can achieve. This goes oh so well with the array of toppings they have to offer; both authentic toppings and creations of their own- nothing disappoints. You will definitely find yourself coming back for more.
Dolce Italia have proved time after time that they are front-runners in Italian cuisine and we left with full stomachs and gleeful smiles across our faces. Presentation was on point with every dish been adequately garnished, simple yet not too little, as well as hinting a homely vibe along with it. For some, this may not matter but for those that might be interested in the restaurant's hygiene, we were extremely content to uncover that it was mandatory for all employees working the kitchen to have hair nets and aprons on at all times.
Right from the meal to the friendly demeanor of the staff to its comfortable ambiance, The Fat Crab truly delivered in all aspects and with we were immensely content with our overall dining experience. The Fat Crab have effortlessly crawled their way into our hearts, transforming us into avid fans and we are eagerly anticipating our next visit. Yes, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and sometimes its worth having a little quality that lives on in the memory so it becomes an occasion rather than just a meal. If you're ever in the vicinity, make sure to head down there and try out the Chilli Prawn Pasta and the Seafood chowder, you'll be thanking us later!
Why Domenico's? Because the quality of ingredients and service, was a superb choice. The freshness of the dishes and the creative combinations of vegetables, spices, and meats offered a unique dimension to the competitive Italian cuisine in Colombo and was inviting for another visit.
Minimal in design, but monumental in personality, The Bayleaf is for everyone, anytime. Much like the herb it’s named after, the restaurant is rustic, rejuvenating and refreshing. But what makes The Bayleaf a unique Italian restaurant in Colombo? Put simply, it's their ability to recreate traditional Italian dishes in a contemporary fashion while still retaining the respect for its historic heritage - a fusion of the old and the new.
If you are looking to celebrate anything when in fort, this is a definite must-try place. With a diverse menu to satisfy all your cravings, Harpo’s Colombo Fort Café is sure to provide food that has a little theatre and fun even for you herbivores (vegetarians). So pick up your margaritas (juices for you young ones) and toast to an evening full of life, love and long meals!
